Artist Statement:
My work conveys messages and ideas about humans and their relationship with nature and technology.
Most paintings appear to me complete in my mind. Other images, music, or paintings I have already completed inspire these works. Once I visualize the painting, I write down a description and spend time thinking about it - sometimes years. When I feel ready, I begin a preliminary drawing to work out the details and size. I generally work on one painting at a time and will take reference photos or find sources online to assist me in completing my vision.
I am currently working on three series of paintings, rotating between them as one inspires the other.
