Born and raised in Saskatoon, SK, Dalton Perkins and Zoe Kostuchuk share their love of art. Having met in 2020, their art practices have been developing in various ways, from paintings, and collaging to printmaking, working both on their own time and alongside each other. With community engagement and facilitating connection in mind, their artwork is a collection of heartfelt pieces made either individually or collaboratively by Dalton and Zoe. In imagining and cultivating better futures, meanwhile staying appreciative of the moment, Dalton and Zoe are thankful to be creating art.
We are each painters but come from different backgrounds in creating art. Dalton is self-taught and his art process is more spontaneous, and Zoe has a Bachelor of Fine Art, with an artistic process that is more calculated. Some of our favorite music includes The Lost Dog Street Band and well as Charley Crockett. We love listening to a variety of music while creating! Often we create art as individuals, and then when we collaborate it is a fun process of conceptualizing ideas together and letting our creative directions flow together. We enjoy creating paintings, drawings, and collages together, interweaving our unique styles into collaborative artworks.
Having recently exhibited art together with Art by the River Saskatoon and a beloved local restaurant Amigo's, we are not currently booked to exhibit anywhere else but are excited to find more opportunities to exhibit our art in the near future.
