Artist Biography:

Lilli Hendra (He/They) is a self-taught artist who is both trans and queer, his creative journey is deeply intertwined with his personal identity and experiences. Lilli finds inspiration in the natural world, from the delicate beauty of birds to the mysterious allure of the occult and horror genres. His work is primarily traditional, employing watercolor, pencil, pen, and acrylic to explore themes of self-expression and interpretation. Art, for Lilli, is a profound means of conveying individuality and exploring the nuances of selfhood.

Artist Statement:
During Pride Month, I reflect on how both art and identity serve as expressions of who we are. Just as every artist infuses their work with their own experiences and perspectives, every person navigates their own path of self-expression and creation. In celebrating both the diversity of artistic expression and the richness of queer identities, my art strives to capture the essence of what it means to be authentically oneself. Through each piece, I invite viewers to engage with the unique intersections of nature, personal identity, and creative exploration.

Lilli Hendra has exhibited with A.B.F.M. Magazine® for four consecutive Halloween exhibitions, he is in our featured artist directory and is featured on the cover of A.B.F.M. Magazine® Halloween Issue 2.
